About Our Company

We know that there are lots of websites that offer backyard leisure products for sale! All of them pretty much have the same photos & the same descriptions.

So why should you trust us with your purchase?

And even though over the years our internet business has become one of the largest in America - we still have a brick and mortar store also.

Unlike almost every other greenhouse kit dealer we are the one of the very few online greenhouse kit companies that actually own these greenhouses.

We have built the kits, worked with the factories toward developing easier to follow instructions (always an ongoing process), demonstrated greenhouse kits at home and garden shows, been a regular guest co host on a local gardening show and repeatedly appeared on regional gardening shows.

We will never claim to have all the answers but you can bet that we understand your frustration if you are having trouble with parts or instructions since we have experienced those same issues ourselves. And we have the staff and the desire to find the answers for you when needed.

How did we start?

Back in 1996 our local pond store had grown from our backyard into one of the largest pond supply dealers in the Northwest and we were looking to build or buy a greenhouse kit to display our pond plants during the winter season (something we still do today).

Since it was still very early in the days of the internet it was a little harder to find greenhouse kits to choose from and just like today it was hard to find an honest dealer who would tell me straight up without any fancy sales talk what the best kit for me would be.

I quickly became pretty darn disgusted with the process and figured that if someone would just provide all the best greenhouses in one place then I could easily figure out which would be the best one for me.

It didn't take long before I decided that if no one else would provide that kind of service then I would.

How did we come to do business online?

Back in 1995 the pond and garden business was very seasonal so I had a lot of time on my hands. I started putting my dormant computer skills from college to work building websites and putting our company onto this newfangled internet.

Almost immediately our online business started to outgrow our local store.

We sold off a division of our company to concentrate on our garden center and building online stores to distribute our products via the internet across the United States.

Now writing this years later it is hard to believe where we started and how far we have come. From one old junky computer to state of the art systems and dedicated servers. From 28k modems to screaming T1 broadband for the online help desks and customer service representatives.
